Training

In addition to the training sessions detailed below our members also arrange unscheduled swims, rides and runs. These are usually arranged and communicated through the Pax River Tri Club Yahoo Group (PaxRiverTri@yahoogroups.com). To register email PaxRiverTri-subscribe@yahoogroups.com
Please note that the starts times/attendance of the following activities can vary. Please sign up to the Yahoo group to ensure the training session is taking place.

Swim
Friday Night Open water Swim*
Open water swim training. Usually takes place in the Patuxent River at the end of Clarks landing in Hollywood, MD at 5pm. All abilities welcome. Kayak support provided by Patuxent Adventure Center.

Please note that due to water temperatures and jelly fish the open water swim sessions are only available for a few months of the year, typically April-June and September-October.

Bike
At present we do not have any official club training rides. Many of our members are also members of Pax Velo Cycling club and do most group rides with them.

Unscheduled rides are however organized and coordinated through the Pax River Tri Club Yahoo Group.

Run
Sunday Morning Run*

 

Speed and distance varies depending on who shows up.

Wednesday Track Workout*
Meet at the St Mary’s College Running Track at 5:30pm for a track/speed work out.
