Cascade Lake Sprint Triathlon and Duathlon is Sun, May 31, 2009 in Hampstead, MD (30mi NNW of Baltimore, near PA). At least one club member is racing.

Club plans a St Clement’s Island Swim/Run/Picnic on the island on Sun, June 7, 2009.

The annual Eagleman Half-Iron Triathlon will be Sun Jun 14. Registration for 2009 is closed. At least four club members are competing.

The annual Chesapeake Bay Swim will be held Sun Jun 14, 2009. I believe several club members obtained entry to the 4.4mi swim in the lottery last year.

The mostly annual Potomac River Swim will be on Sat May 30, 2009, at Pt Lookout State Park. I believe at least one of our members is supporting the event.

The annual NAS Pax River Individual Tri will be held as usual on the first Sat of June (Sat Jun 6, 2009) at the outdoor pool on base. I know several club members who plan to attend, and I expect to see quite a number of others.

We had a Club Practice Duathlon on Sun May 31 at Wildwood, in California, MD; it was a 5K run/14mi bike/5K run. A brief thunderstorm blew through that morning, but the sky cleared in time for our race. We only had four racers, but we had good exercise out their running and biking. Also we got brownies to eat at the end.
