The 2010 PaxRiverTri Kids Tri was a sanctioned triathlon at Wildewood on Sat, Aug 7, 2010. There were nearly 70 participants.

Kickoff Meeting to start the 2010 Summer Beginner Triathlon Workshop
Saturday, April 24, 11:30AM, Nicoletti’s (Hickory Hill Shopping Center)
Meeting is free & open, and pizza will be provided.
Training series will require club membership (as with all club training activites, for insurance purposes). Membership is by calendar year and costs $35 for individual/$55 for family.
A practice sprint triathlon will be held as the culmination of the training series.
Club practice triathlon for kids and adults Saturday morning, July 25.
Kids event starts at 0800; please come out and help marshall the course for the kids event.
The adult event will be held after the kids event ends, so everyone can first help with the kids event and then participate (if desired) in the adult event.
Adults event is a practice sprint triathlon with pool swim in the Wildewood pool: est 400m swim, 15mi bike, 5K run.
Kids’ tri is much shorter, in several distance options.
Usual payment convention: Events are free to members; non-members must pay membership fee first & join (registration available race day morning).
Cascade Lake Sprint Triathlon and Duathlon is Sun, May 31, 2009 in Hampstead, MD (30mi NNW of Baltimore, near PA). At least one club member is racing.
Club plans a St Clement’s Island Swim/Run/Picnic on the island on Sun, June 7, 2009.
The annual Eagleman Half-Iron Triathlon will be Sun Jun 14. Registration for 2009 is closed. At least four club members are competing.
The annual Chesapeake Bay Swim will be held Sun Jun 14, 2009. I believe several club members obtained entry to the 4.4mi swim in the lottery last year.
The mostly annual Potomac River Swim will be on Sat May 30, 2009, at Pt Lookout State Park. I believe at least one of our members is supporting the event.

The annual NAS Pax River Individual Tri will be held as usual on the first Sat of June (Sat Jun 6, 2009) at the outdoor pool on base. I know several club members who plan to attend, and I expect to see quite a number of others.
We had a Club Practice Duathlon on Sun May 31 at Wildwood, in California, MD; it was a 5K run/14mi bike/5K run. A brief thunderstorm blew through that morning, but the sky cleared in time for our race. We only had four racers, but we had good exercise out their running and biking. Also we got brownies to eat at the end.
